Sheffield City Hall has extended its sponsorship deal with law firm Irwin Mitchell for a further three years.
Sheffield International Venues (SIV), which operates concert and conference venues in the city, including City Hall, has announced a new deal with Irwin Mitchell for sponsorship of the Oval Hall until 2015.
The three-tiered Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall, which seats 2,271 people, has played host to performances by artists including Westlife, Morrissey and Ronan Keating.
It has also staged high profile conferences and events such as the Liberal Democrat’s Spring Conference and the National Union of Students conference. Annually, the City Hall welcomes 60,000 people for business events.
Irwin Mitchell has held the naming rights for the Oval Hall since 2005.
Paul Firth, Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Sheffield office, said: “The City Hall is an important Sheffield landmark and we are delighted to extend our long-term support for it for another three years.”
With 17 venues and 5.1m customers every year, SIV operates one of the largest concentrations of diverse elite and community sports and entertainment facilities in Europe.
Steve Brailey, Chief Executive of SIV, said: “Over the last eight years, we have built a fantastic relationship with Irwin Mitchell and we are delighted to extend the sponsorship deal.”
