Long stay venue group, Center Parcs, has reported a 44 per cent increase in meeting and event bookings from the retail sector in the first six months of the financial year. The increase is calculated for the period, 1 April to 31 October, against the same period in the previous year.
The group’s Sherwood Forest location received the most interest, with 50 per cent of enquiries converted into confirmed bookings from last year. Daniel Whittemore, Head of Corporate Sales at Center Parcs, says: “Our retail conversion rates have gone from strength to strength. We are delighted to see, that in a competitive environment, our unique proposition for corporate and teambuilding events fulfills and exceeds the retail sector needs.”
In the first half of the financial year, Center Parcs played host to annual corporate events for FMCG multinational retail brands including Fat Face and Sainsbury’s. “A massive thanks to Center Parcs and the team at Longleat (pictured) for making our time there so effective,” says Brand and Shoot Production Manager at Fat Face, Ian Williams. “It was a great venue for our size and requirements and the accommodation was very well received.”
Center Parcs is set in 400 acres of woodland, boasting event spaces with modern facilities and forest views for up to 650 people.
