Middle Temple’s Lorraine Butler has been recruited as the Events Chair for city-based venue consortium London City Selection (LCS).
Butler takes over the role from Angela Myles, who held the post in her role at Holiday Inn Express London City before moving to a new venue outside of the collective.
Currently Sales and Marketing Manager at Middle Temple Hall, Butler has 14 years of experience in the industry and has been a member of the selection since July 2012.
Working closely with other members of the LCS Board and the selection’s Chair, Diane Waldron, Butler looks forward to the new challenges the role will bring. “I’m excited to be leading the events strategy for the forthcoming year,” she says. “The annual London City Selection Fam trip is always a great success and I’m looking forward to leading on this. We already have some creative ideas and plans in the pipeline.”
Diane Waldron, London City Selection Chair, adds: “We were delighted that Lorraine stepped up to the role of Events Chair. The annual Fam trip is set to take place in March next year and with Lorraine’s expertise and creative flair it is set to be a great success.”
In September the consortium announced a new structure to its board, including new roles responsible for key development areas. Following the appointment of Diane Waldron as Chair earlier this year, LCS says the new board structure is designed to refine the City Selection offer as a group and strengthen internal processes.
Each new board member has been allocated a key area of development for LCS, and will hold their role for the next 12 months. Focusing on mid-term growth of the selection, Waldron says the new board structure will strengthen the existing offering and maximise resources.
