Conference and Hospitality Show in Leeds expands for 5th year

Owners of the Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS), the UK’s only dedicated event expo outside of London, have announced plans to expand the show in 2014. It will be the fifth year of growth for the Leeds-based show.

The 2014 edition of CHS returns to the Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United Football Club on 8 April.
The CHS Group says its research shows 96 per cent of exhibitors and 92 per cent of visitors plan to return next year.

Expansion within the existing venue is an issue, so more floor space is being added, organisers say, by using a new inflatable space created by Airspace GB of Sheffield.

The space will be used to create a new arrival area and new seminar area. A larger VIP area will feature for 2013.

CHS Director Sue Beverley says: “We have found demand increasing from both exhibitors and visitors which, in the current climate, is fantastic. We are aiming to increase VIP attendance by over 50 per cent next year and so we have had to expand to accommodate both these extra visitors and exhibitors.
“We have created an extra 20 stands this year and grown the VIP Lounge.”

A Hosted Buyer Programme will be supported by Leeds hotels and other features will include three seminar stages, including a stage for PAs, a stage for events organisers and a seminar area devoted to hot industry topics.

There will be a Creative Demo Zone that will encourage organisers to experience for themselves innovative ideas that will engage conference and meeting delegates.

MD of Cloud 9 Event Management, Paula Kelsey, says: “The simplicity of [the show’s] format is one of the great benefits of attending and the fact that we can achieve so much in a day makes it a must attend event for myself and my team.
