Compass’ Restaurant Associates division recognised at FSM Awards

Compass UK & Ireland’s high-end catering division, Restaurant Associates, has been awarded the Contract Caterer Award, which was presented to Andy Harris, Managing Director of Restaurant Associates; and the People Development Award, which was won by Restaurant Associates’ Customer Experience Strategy Manager, Peter Clark-Lewis, at the Foodservice Management (FSM) Awards.
The annual FSM Awards took place on 25 November and recognises the achievements of professionals within the contract catering industry. The event, held at the London’s five-star Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, saw 400 of the industry’s elite gather to celebrate this year’s award winners.
The Contract Caterer Award is given to an individual who has excelled within the industry and was awarded to Harris (pictured) for his instrumental role in re-shaping and re-energising the Restaurant Associates brand.
The People Development Award recognises an individual who has made excellent progress in developing the perfect team. Clark-Lewis was recognised for his dedication to Restaurant Associates’ customer engagement training programme, ’impressions’, having rolled it out to over 4,000 associates across the UK business.
“Andy is an inspirational leader and motivator of people and he has created and led a business that everyone at Compass is extremely proud of,” says Ian Sarson, Group Managing Director for Compass UK & Ireland. “I’m equally pleased that the Restaurant Associates team has won the People Development Award; the impressions programme has gone from strength to strength and it’s great to see its success celebrated.”
