Bizzabo launches web-based platform for off-site event engagement

Smartphone app developer for the events and meetings industry, Bizzabo, has launched a web-based pre- and post-event networking platform designed to “enhance event engagement”.
Until now, Bizzabo’s networking platform was mobile focused, accessible only through Bizzabo’s iOS and Android apps. The new web platform makes Bizzabo accessible from all devices (computers, tablets and smartphones).
“Three thousand events later, we realised our mobile-first strategy needed a robust web companion,” says Co-Founder and CMO of Bizzabo, Alon Alroy. “Event attendees wanted a more user-friendly way to network pre- and post-conference. Our mobile event networking app provides networking and engagement capabilities when you’re on the go.
“We wanted to take a step further and provide the best networking experience for those business professionals when they are at their office planning their event experience.”
Through advanced search filters that include specific industries, general interests, as well as past work experience and conference history, Bizzabo says the platform now offers organisers and delegates a more robust portfolio of potential networking opportunities and possible business connections.
“When organising a conference, an organiser’s main goals are to enhance networking, increase engagement, sell more tickets and maximise sponsorship opportunities,” says Eran Ben-Shushan, Co-Founder and CEO of Bizzabo. “Our new web platform takes a big step in providing a more complete solution than a standard one off branded event app.”
Since inception in July 2012 the platform has already been incorporated by thousands of conferences worldwide including the Dublin Web Summit, The Marketo Summit, Next Berlin, TiECon, CE Week, MediaBistro Conferences, VentureBeat Conferences and the Qualcomm Annual Conference.
