Global DMC, event management and PCO organisation, Pacific World, will once again partner with European Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings (EIBTM) tradeshow, to deliver operational support for all aspects of the show.
“EIBTM moved the show to Barcelona 10 years ago and we are delighted to have been working with them to deliver the show since then,” said Country Manager of Pacific World Spain, Monica Sala Reyna. “Each year, the show attracts over 15,000 meetings industry professionals to the city. As the official DMC, our role is to ensure that each of those attendees receive the best service.”
As the official DMC, Pacific World is responsible for managing over 5,000 hotel room nights and working with a list of official hotels to secure attractive rates for EIBTM delegates.
In addition to this, Pacific World is responsible for coordinating all official transportation services for Hosted Buyers and visitors attending the show. This involves over 200 daily transfers, which are coordinated by 100 members of staff.
“We value the relationship we have with Pacific World,” said Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Senior Exhibition Director, Graeme Barnett. “Implementing EIBTM each year is an enormous task and it is incredibly important to use that we work with suppliers whom we can trust implicitly. Year on year, Pacific World prove themselves beyond expectation and we are looking forward to working with them for years to come.”
In addition to this, EIBTM and Pacific World have collaborated on a charity project in a bid to raise €15,000 for Casal dels Infants, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of children, young people and families at risk of social exclusion in Barcelona.
The project, based on the notion that if each of the 15,000 meetings industry professionals expected to attend EIBTM donates at least €1 each, the EIBTM community will raise enough funds to secure scholarships for 20 young adults within the meetings and hospitality industries in Barcelona.
Attendees can donate prior to show by donating online via teaming.net/solidaryeibtm or via the Casal’s website casaldelsinfants.org/CAST/principal.asp (enter EIBTM 2013 as donation reference). Alternatively, there will be a number of collection points available at EIBTM and at the various networking events.
EIBTM 2013 takes place 19-21 November in Barcelona.
