London & Partners to take directory approach in Vegas

London & Partners, the capital’s convention bureau, is taking 22 stand partners and a new edition of its Association Directory to IMEX America in Las Vegas next week as part of its marketing push on the North American association market.

Over a thousand of the capital’s venues are listed in the 40-page guide, alongside a range of suppliers and travel partners and a comprehensive map. The directory illustrates how international organisers can access ‘oneworld events’, a partnership offering discounted rates and various delegate and organiser benefits on 12 airlines, including British Airways.

Additions to the directory include advice on how organisers can explore a range of social and entertainment options in the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park.

Other new social options include the EDF London Eye Barracuda offering a dining experience on the River Thames, and the recently launched River Rooms at the Mermaid conference centre.

Becky Graveney (pictured), Head of Associations at London & Partners, recommended the directory as “a great tool for event planners”.

“There are also sections on social London, value London, green London and event services,” Graveney added.

Lesley Zeck, Director of Meetings, International and American Association for Dental Research (IADR), said the Associations Directory answered almost all of her questions about the city when she had to gather information about London as a possible venue for the IADR General Session for 7,000 delegates.

“It made my research much easier plus working with the association team resulted in our organisation booking London for our meeting in 2018.”

London & Partners will be hosting a Twitter Q&A during IMEX America at 10.45 am, 16 October 2013 (Pacific Time). Join in the conversation with Tracy Halliwell, Director Major Events and Business Tourism at @London_CVB and ask her a question at #meetinLondon. London & Partners will be exhibiting with 22 partners at Stand 2616 at the show.
