Creative Taste awarded five-year Greenwich Park contract

Caterer Creativevents’ cultural and heritage division, Creative Taste, has won the competitive tender for a five-year contract to provide catering services for Greenwich Park, the oldest enclosed Royal Park, which dates back to 1427.
The contract, worth an estimated £7m, will see Creative Taste operate the Pavilion Cafe, the White House Bakery, a Coffee and Bakehouse and two kiosks within Greenwich Park from 7 November 2013
New plans for the Pavilion Cafe include a complete internal makeover with improved lighting and seating.
“Every year millions of Londoners and tourists visit Greenwich Park and we are hugely excited about the prospect of being able to show them British catering and local produce at its best,” says the caterer’s Managing Director Adrian Willson. “Greenwich is used regularly by locals, 55 per cent of local visitors come once a week to the park, and we want to offer them high quality food, quick service and a warm welcome.”
Creative Taste were awarded the contract because they demonstrated an understanding of the heritage of the site, and proposed design concepts which were sympathetic to the iconic Pavilion building and the listed St Mary’s Lodge, says Graham Dear, Greenwich Park Manager.
