Hotel marketing and sales consultancy, RAM Org, has added Visit Flanders to its network of destinations, venues and destination management companies (DMC’s) following a competitive tender and pitch process.
The two and a half year contract award follows on from the recent news that MICE specialist John Kelly would be buying into RAM Org. Visit Flanders is the first new client of the partnership.
“At RAM we want to work with clients that we can be truly passionate about and Visit Flanders certainly fits this criteria,” says Kelly. “We’ve been talking to them now for a few months and recently spent a week in the region looking at Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp to see what they had to offer the MICE market.”
Judy Till from RAM says: “Brussels and Bruges are well known to the UK MICE market, but some of the smaller towns and cities deserve a lot more recognition and would be perfect for UK buyers looking for somewhere different but close and easy to get to, and in-tune with the needs of our agency clients. We have a series of activities planned for the final quarter of 2013 and then into 2014, which will see us arranging educational trips to the region as well as bringing Flanders to life to the UK market.”
Andrew Daines from Visit Flanders, adds: “We wanted to align ourselves with an organisation that could share our vision and help us to achieve our aims in promoting this region. RAM Org understood this and we were delighted with their approach, creativity and the passion which really shone through.”
