Manchester Central has won its bid to host the The Schools Network’s (SSAT) 2013 national UK conference, 5-6 December.
More than 800 school professionals will come together with some of education’s leading thinkers for the two-day conference. The conference will address the question of how to make the education system world class by recruiting, retaining and continually developing teachers, through all stages of their careers.
The conference will make use of Manchester Central’s main areas, including its Exchange Hall, auditorium, a number of breakout rooms and two of its main foyer areas.
“We are thrilled to host SSAT for its UK national conference,” says Chief Executive of Manchester Central, Angie Robinson. “Manchester is a pioneer in many educational fields, including the sciences and the arts, as well as being a hub for research and development. What better place to help shape, inspire and encourage education improvement in our schools.”
