Big Wednesday PR hires Richard Jebb as Communications Director

Full service communications agency, Big Wednesday PR, has appointed Richard Jebb as its Communications Director.

The agency specialises in the business tourism, meetings and events sector. Clients include Merlin Events, No 11 Cavendish Square, RSA House, Prince Philip House, 41 Portland Place, AV supplier Max WiFi and caterers Harbour & Jones and Dish.

Jebb also owns his own PR, marketing and copywriting company, Words that Work Communications, and has worked with clients such as the Meetings Industry Association (mia) as a Public Relations Consultant and Editor, Accor Hotels, De Vere Hotels, Millennium Hotels, Sodexo Prestige, Excel London and Chelsea FC. He also has worked at PR agency Davies Tanner as Creative Manager and Consultant, Drake & Cavandish as Managing Partner and MCL Group in Business Development.

“I set out this year to considerably expand the breadth of services Big Wednesday PR offers, so when I was introduced to Richard during the summer and was impressed by his track record in the meetings and events industry, I asked him to come on board,” says MD of Big Wednesday PR, Eugenie Tham. “With Big Wednesday PR now over 10 years old, I’m no stranger to the industry either; together we make a formidable team.”

Jebb adds: “Over the past 15 years, I have seen the big players in the meetings and events sector realise the potential that a considered and strategic approach to PR and marketing can deliver in terms of business success.

“Big Wednesday PR’s focus is on delivering long term results and we’re working with clients that share this vision. Eugenie has built a strong team and the agency now offers the full brand communication package to venues, hotels and hotel groups, assisting them in reaching core markets with a consistent brand message and style from new business proposal writing to marketing literature and, of course, top level public relations campaigns.”
