National Theatre’s The Deck to host another pop-up restaurant in 2014

London’s National Theatre has announced a second pop-up restaurant in one of its event spaces, The Deck, for next summer, 5-8 August, following the “sell-out success” this year.
 
The restaurant, Teatro de Alimentos, took place on 6 and 7 August 2013, celebrating the varied and vibrant flavours of Spain. Guests were treated to a six-course menu and welcomed to The Deck’s terrace with the sounds of the Spanish guitar and a flute of bubbly. Views of the London skyline while dining was also a pull.
 
The food was matched with Spanish wines and beers selected by The Deck’s supplier Jascots, who also conducted a tutorial throughout the event.
 
The National Theatre’s executive sous chef Ricardo Menta, who created the menu, offered guests an insight into the creative process behind producing the complex menu.
