Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants completed a sales mission of the UK and Ireland from 1 – 10 July 2013, visiting key travel trade and MICE partners and attending the Visit USA Independence Day Ball in London.
During the mission, sales managers for Kimpton’s hotels and restaurants in San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, Washington DC, Boston and New York City held informative training sessions at tour operators including Scott Dunn, Funway Holidays and Specialist Holiday Group. They also visited key business clients such as Informa and American Express to update them on Kimpton’s latest developments in the MICE market.
Following the Visit USA Independence Day Ball on 4 July, Kimpton treated key travel agents, tour operators and travel trade media to brunch at Soho Hotel in London on 5 July and an evening reception at Ja Ja Bar in Crawley on 8 July. Guests at each event were entered in a raffle to win prizes including a signature Kimpton animal-print robe and a two-night stay at a Kimpton hotel in Washington DC.
Kimpton also sponsored the USA TravelMedia.ie Summer Networking Event at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin on 9 July and hosted a table at the event, where they were joined by VIP guests including American Sky, E-Travel, Innstant Travel, Lowcostbeds, Sunway Travel, Tour America and Trailfinders.
