The organiser of the 2013 Conference Summit, Global Conference Network, has announced representatives from EMAP, i2i Events Group, Euromoney Institutional Investor and Capacity Media have been signed up to speak at the event.
The 2nd annual conference, due to be held 6 December at etc.venues’ Dexter House in London, hopes to address the critical issues facing the conference industry, bringing together senior professionals to debate and discuss the challenges of today’s market.
The roster of speakers include: Fiona Miller, Conference Director at EMAP; Giles Cummings, Divisional Director at i2i Events Group; Ros Irving, CEO of Capacity Media; and Luke Gibson, MD of the Specialist Events Group at Euromoney Institutional Investor.
Key topics on the day’s agenda include a debate on ’Is the paying delegate in terminal decline? Alternative models to meet these challenges’, ’The convergence of large-scale events and exhibitions and the implications for the events industry as a whole’ and ’International case study: the challenges of launching an event overseas’.
The event will also include presentations, panel debates and roundtable discussions.
A limited exhibition will also be integrated into the summit.
“This year has seen many conference companies face challenging operating environments,” says MD of the Global Conference Network, Claire Wormsley. “These challenges are leading to some fundamental changes in the industry as well as new ideas and initiatives being launched.”
Global Conference Network works on a variety of projects including the Conference Awards, Asian Conference Awards, Conference Golf Cup, Conference Summit, Preferred Suppliers Directory, Conference Training and Conference Partnerships.
