Charlton House wins Mathematical Institute catering contract

Caterer Charlton House, part of CH&Co, has secured an annual contract to provide staff and student catering for Oxford University’s new Mathematical Institute on the redeveloped ten-acre Radcliffe Observatory Quarter in Oxford. The team will also provide catering services at a large number of conferences and events held at the Mathematical Institute.

Previously housed in three separate locations, all parts of the University’s Mathematics department are now in one dedicated facility, designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects.

Charlton House already provides catering services for multiple University Departments. The new contract will commence on 2 September 2013 and will involve a team of eight Charlton House staff providing restaurant and hospitality services for the 1,400 students, academics and faculty staff.

Charlton House was awarded the contract based on the University’s satisfaction with the catering being delivered at its other locations.

“We are proud to have been entrusted with the responsibility of feeding the brightest and best of Mathematical academia, and are committed to providing them with the best nutrition during their working or studying day,” says Charlton House Chief Executive, Caroline Fry (pictured).

CH&Co is an independent catering group with six specialist brands: Charlton House (staff catering at B&I sites), Lusso (City and fine dining), Chester Boyd (livery halls and private venues), ITA (venues and events booking agency), (public and event catering at iconic & private venues) and Via 360 (bespoke reception services). Current annual turnover stands at £97 million and the group employs almost 2,500 people nationwide.
