Barbican gets creative with 3D video projection mapping

London events venue, The Barbican, has introduced 3D video projection mapping as it continues to develop new ways to help clients make their events more creative.

Projection mapping is a technique which allows video to be screened onto almost any surface, and can turn any of the Barbican’s event spaces into a dynamic video display. The Barbican expects the new service to be of particular interest to clients using the venue for advertising and product launches, music videos and experiential brand events.

Projection mapping is being provided in conjunction with The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

“The effects of video projection mapping can be extraordinary,” says Head of Event Management at Barbican Business Events, Lee Dobson. “The new service is just one example of how integrating our commercial and arts offering allows us to shape client events in more innovative ways. Investing in video projection mapping is part of our commitment to provide ever more interesting event solutions and will turn even the simplest client event into a truly memorable experience for all involved.”
