Exhibitors at May’s Academic Venue Show in London have confirmed over £250,000 in new business in the period since the event, held at the ILEC Conference Centre.
Jo Mitchell, Marketing Manager of the show’s organiser Venuemasters, said: “We’ve also received glowing praise from visitors, of whom 96 per cent rated the show ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ in our post show survey”.
The Academic Venue Show is an annual, free-to-attend showcase of the meeting and accommodation facilities offered by academic venues across the UK. The 2013 event was attended by 300 visitors and a record 50 exhibitors.
The venue, inside the Ibis hotel, was rated by 87 per cent of visitors rating it ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ in terms of ease to travel to, according to Venuemasters, who moved the show from the Emirates this year. The organiser confirmed the show will stay at ILEC in 2014, when it is set to run on 14 May.
Venuemasters has also published a new edition of its academic venue guide, featuring more than 80 meeting and accommodation facilities across UK.
The guide is available in both printed and digital versions and provides comparisons of venue rates and capacities.
“The Venue Guide 2013-14 is the quickest way for event organisers to compare our fantastic locations, facilities and rates,” said Mitchell. It can be downloaded at venuemasters.co.uk/brochure.
