Teambuilding company, Bluehat Group, welcomed 55 event management buyers from such companies as Kuoni Events, Barclays, Tesco, M&G Investments and Citigroup for its Guinness World Record Showcase at De Vere West London recently.
As official partners to Guinness World Records, Bluehat has exclusive UK rights to deliver the Guinness World Records Team Building Challenge and at the moment it is the only company in the world offering this service.
Guinness World Records is the international guardian of superlative facts and its mission is to celebrate the world’s best; to inspire ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things; to entertain and inform.
The records attempted on the night were: Fastest time to wrap a person in a newspaper, tallest coffee cup tower built in one minute, fastest time to pass eight tennis balls eight times, most dominos stacked and toppled in one minute and fastest time to pass eight t-shirts down a line. All records must be by a team of 8 people.
“The showcase was designed to reach out to the industry to increase awareness of and share this officially amazing event,” says Head of Sales at Blue Hat Group, Charlotte Cornwallis. “We achieved that 100 per cent and the buzz post event from our clients was incredible. We are incredibly proud to be the chosen agent for Guinness World Records and we will be working closely with them to take this event to the next stage and further develop the challenges and the formats. Our measure of success is how the people feel having experienced one of our events and in this instance some of our guests have gone home as Guinness World Records title holders, not something many people can say or compete with.”
CN’s Deputy Editor, Sarah O’Donnell, was part of the winning team to break the record for the Tallest Coffee Cup Tower Built in One Minute.
