UK event solutions company Smyle has revealed a turnover of £8.63m in the last financial year to March 2013, a 48 per cent increase on the previous year, and a 72 per cent increase in profit (EBITDA) to £872,000.
“We are really pleased with these figures and have focused on a profitable and responsible business, not simply chasing turnover which is never a true measure of sustainable performance,” says Smyle’s Managing Director, Rick Stainton (pictured). “As a team we are ahead of our plan in terms of where we expected to be at this point as a business.
“We are now building for the future with the introduction of some new roles as well as significant equipment and infrastructure investment alongside growing our main office space. We are excited about the next few years as we develop our new strategic business plans,” he adds.
The team at Smyle will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year through a series of internal and external activities over the coming months, showcasing ’10 Amazing Years’, with the climax being the anniversary showcase event on 8 August at The Grove, which is also celebrating its 10th birthday this year.
