Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel has invested £2m on a multi-functional conservatory for events and dining, along with new and upgraded bedrooms.
Opened in June, the conservatory adds 135sqm of space to the hotel’s nine rooms for private events. The new bedrooms increase the riverside property’s capacity to 84 rooms.
The hotel has converted an existing courtyard area adjacent to its River Room Restaurant into a Conservatory which can accommodate up to 90 people. When combined with the Little Barn, River Room Restaurant, Oxford Suite and Eights Bar it can support larger events of up to 360 people. New car parking spaces have also been added to support the facilities.
The 22 new double bedrooms, the River and Garden rooms, include air conditioning, iPod docking stations, 37-inch LCD digital televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi.
“The new facilities are part of the group’s continuing focus on offering clients the best facilities in Oxford; an area of the UK that is seeing increased interest from the meetings sector,” says General Manager of the hotel, Jonathan Oldroyd.
“The Conservatory and new bedrooms will enable us to offer even more flexibility to organisers of events of all kinds, from meetings and conferences to weddings and private parties.”
Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel is a four-star property located just three miles from the centre of Oxford. Set in 30 acres of parkland, the hotel’s facilities include nine conference and events rooms, River Room Restaurant, Crusaders Medieval Bar and Lounge, Jerome’s Leisure Club and an outdoor riverside tennis court.
