Late opening for first day of Square Meal’s Venues & Events

London-based event industry exhibition, Square Meal’s Venues & Events Live, is to extend the open hours of the first day of its show in response, the organiser says, to calls from the industry.
The show’s organiser, Square Meal magazine, will extend the first day of the show to 7pm, allowing more visitors to attend after office hours.
In its ninth year, the annual show is held at Old Billingsgate EC2 in September 2013 and attracts event buyers, corporate event bookers and personal assistants who book corporate events. The show features five floors of London and regional venues, event suppliers, corporate hospitality and technology.
As well as the extended opening times, the show is introducing new features including the Ideas Hub, where visitors can pick up ideas for their events and be pointed in the direction of the most relevant exhibitors, as well as quiz event experts in the ‘Hot Seat’.
Visitors can also pick up inspiration from first time exhibitors such as the pâtissier Ladurée, The Making of Harry Potter, and Ice Tank Studios, as well as enjoy new seminars and masterclasses delivered by the editorial team.
“From corporate hospitality to conferences, people increasingly expect new ideas and experiences at every event they go to,” said Square Meal’s Venues & Events Marketing Manager, Rachel Harty.
The show expects to attract 7,000 event-buying professionals, with a strong bias towards the corporate and financial sector.
