Luke Johnson has joined caterer Harbour & Jones (H&J) as Non-Executive Director.
Johnson is the Chairman of Risk Capital Partners and former Chairman of Channel 4, and apart from setting up the Strada branded restaurants and being credited with the exponential growth of Pizza Express, he is also the Part-Owner and Chairman of Patisserie Valerie, Gail’s Artisan Bakery and Feng Sushi.
H&J Owners, Patrick Harbour and Nathan Jones, says: “Next year we’ll be celebrating our first 10 years of business and with the help of Luke we look forward to making the next 10 years even stronger.”
Johnson adds: “It is great to be working with two hospitality pioneers like Patrick and Nathan. I met them when I chaired the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and I saw first hand how they are able to transform the food and drink offering for an institution.”
At the end of 2012, H&J reported a 30 per cent increase in turnover year-on-year.
H&J is the parent company of Harbour & Jones Events, which specialises in venue catering, event design and management and has exclusive access to London venues including 41 Portland Place, Prince Philip House, Royal Society, RSA and RADA.
