The newly-refurbished Thames View Suite at The Lensbury in Middlesex will host events including the 2013 Richmond Business Awards, The Classic British Hotels Annual Forum and a fundraising dinner for local charity REACT.
A £1.2m investment by The Lensbury since the beginning of the year has allowed for a complete renovation of the property’s main function space, The Thames View Suite. The suite, which originally comprised of two rooms, has been refurbished to provide one large, airy space with large picture windows giving views over the newly-landscaped gardens and River Thames. A new sound system, concealed presentation equipment and coloured lighting has also been added.
The room can now accommodate 300 delegates theatre-style and 160 cabaret-style.
The addition of a new sun-deck terrace means the suite can be used for outside drinks receptions with capacity for 260 seated guests.
“Classic British chose The Lensbury for its Annual Forum 2013, as with easy access from motorways, the location proved excellent for a national conference,” said CEO of Classic British Hotels, Len Louis.
“Combined with the meeting rooms, it gave us an ideal base in which to develop our forum. This event has grown from year-to-year and the flexibility of space and numbers meant we can accommodate up to 100 per cent extra delegates up to two months in advance.”
