Visitors to Lincolnshire venue Stoke Rochford Hall now have an alternative way of ‘dropping in’ with the opening of a helipad.
Stoke Rochford Hall, located near Grantham, has 26 meeting spaces and was the base for the Second Battalion of the Parachute Regiment which planned its ill-fated drop into Arnhem from this stately mansion in 1944.
Today, the venue’s Compliance Manager David Frampton says the venue is suited to helicopter requirements, including an approach via a large field 250m west of the Hall bounded on three sides by large trees, which provides protection from the wind on landing.
Frampton says there is no charge for landing, or parking.
