St Edmund in the City launches for corporate events

Event caterer The London Kitchen and event management agency, Beyond Certainty have helped the church of St Edmund the King launch its St Edmund in the City, a new venue situated in Lombard Street close to the Bank of England, for corporate events.
St Edmund in the City, formerly known as the ’Banker’s Church’, was a medieval church destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and then re-built by St Paul’s Cathedral architect Sir Christopher Wren. The building is the only church to have taken a direct hit during both world wars.

St Edmund’s is full of original features and is flooded with natural daylight. It has space to host dinners for 100 and receptions for 150 and the all-weather courtyard garden can be used for alfresco entertaining.

Five companies showcased for the launch event including Beyond Certainty, The London Kitchen, Intent Productions, Pinstripes and Peonies and Verdant Flowers.

Mary Penley, Marketing and Events Manager of St Edmund in the City, said: “I am delighted that these companies showcased with us for our launch event, which was a spectacular occasion. This marks the start of an exciting new chapter in the life of our historic city church.”
