Southbank Centre spring launch

The Southbank Centre recently hosted a partner and friends event in the Weston Roof Pavilion on the top floor of the Royal Festival Hall. Whilst enjoying views of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament guests drank seasonal rhubarb bellinis and tasted a bounty of spring produce in canapés, bowls and from the popular dessert table. Catering was provided by Company of Cooks and the menu included hot smoked salmon, pea and broad bean salad with minted mayonnaise; shaved celeriac, radish, pecorino, pomegranate and truffle oil; cannon of lamb, crushed herb breadcrumbs, creamed spring vegetables and rhubarb and champagne jelly with rose cream.

One of the evening’s highlights was the creation of a floor to ceiling artwork by Creative Connection’s artists Tim, Lara and Ada, with illustrations and captions depicting the 150 guests and their comments on the event. DJ Bikini Wax played an eclectic set and the Sonia Sabri Company provided a traditional Kathak style dancer.
