New conference for event professionals heads to Cornwall

A new conference designed for event professionals in the South West, Event Horizons, is to be launched in June at The Performance Centre, Falmouth University, Cornwall.
The conference, a joint venture between Event Cornwall and Falmouth University, will take place on the 14 and 15 of June from 9am till 5.30pm. Its organiser says Event Horizons will explore future developments and creative approaches in the event management sector.
Speakers at Event Horizons include CultureLabel’s Peter Tullin, who featured in the 2009 Courvoisier Future 50 Leaders and Jane Montague, formerly head of large-scale events at the Eden Project and Production Director for the Eden Sessions.
Dale Parmenter, MD of communication and production specialists DRP, will be speaking at the conference. He will also be stepping into the role of Chairman for the official events industry trade body, Eventia this June.
Workshop contributors include event experts such as Tony Kavanagh (London 2012), Clemi Hardie (Noodle Live), Katie McPhee (Eventbrite) and Mercedes Kemp (WildWorks). There will be workshop topics, including ’sustainable event design’, ’amplifying events through social media’ and ’conferences of the future’ available for delegates.
Tickets cost £120+VAT per person for both days, including lunch.
