Legacy Hotels and Resorts to manage two Surrey hotels

Legacy Hotels and Resorts has taken over the management of two Surrey hotels, the Ramada Farnham Hotel and the Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead on long-term agreements after Surya Hotels brought the two hotels that had previously been operated by BDL Management.

The 96-bedroom Ramada Farnham and 87-bedroom Ramada Guildford/Leatherhead Hotels will remain as Ramada branded properties for at least the next three months, while a decision is made on brand positioning going forward.

The hotels’ staff have been transferred to their new employers, led by GMs Tracy Tennant at Farnham and Karl Wilson at Guildford.

“We are delighted to be operating two additional hotels within Legacy Hotels and Resorts as part of our strategic relationship with Surya Hotels,” said CEO of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, Andy Townsend.

“This is our first foray into Surrey and it is an area we have been keen to operate in for some time. Both properties are within easy reach of the M3/M4 and M25 corridors which makes them ideal locations for corporate and commercial business also.

“It is planned to invest in both properties over the coming months and as our plans take shape we look forward to sharing these with the hotels staff and customers,” he added.
