DoubleDutch and The Meetings Show UK partner for mobile app

The organiser of inaugural The Meetings Show UK, Centaur Exhibitions, has signed up mobile event technology developer, DoubleDutch, to create the show’s smartphone app.
The Meetings Show UK is a new event for the inbound and outbound UK meetings and conference industry, taking place at Olympia, London from 9-11 July 2013.
The show and DoubleDutch are designing the app to provide visitors with an engaging tool to guide them around the event, help them view their online diary and interact with other visitors. The app is also being designed to complement the show’s mobile website.
“Technology is an important part of any trade show,” says The Meeting Show UK’s Event Director, Steve Knight. “With this in mind we wanted to appoint a partner who would help us connect with our visitors across multiple platforms.
“The app will allow our visitors, which will include 1,500 hosted buyers attending 13,500 appointments, to keep on top of their individual diaries and manage their own personal blend of exhibitor meetings, networking and education sessions,” he adds.
