US-headquarted Cvent, a cloud-based enterprise event management platform is to expand its international presence with the opening of a London office.
Cvent has facilitated meeting and event bookings in Europe through its Cvent Supplier Network since 2008 and has experienced strong demand in the region. The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market is the second largest for event management software, following North America, accounting for thirty percent of the £18.5bn global market, according to recent research conducted by Frost & Sullivan.
“Investing in Europe by opening a London office and hiring a dedicated team to reach more organisers and expand our roster of suppliers will position us to seize the enormous growth opportunity the market presents,” says Brian Pirkle, Manager of Cvent’s London office.
“The Cvent platform has been leveraged to book a large variety of meetings and events in Europe as the region has increasingly embraced booking automation.

The company currently serves nearly 250 UK clients, including Accenture, Barclays and Nielsen. In order to attract new business, Cvent is building a London-based team to consolidate all European sales and marketing efforts locally.
All European clients will be able to use Cvent’s complete platform of services, including the event management solution, Web surveys, event mobile apps, the Cvent Supplier Network and the company’s Strategic Meetings Management solution for enterprises.
