Brighton Centre to host British Society for Immunology congresses

The Brighton Centre has won its bid to host the British Society for Immunology (BSI) for three of its upcoming congresses, up until 2020.

“We are pleased to confirm that our 2014, 2017 and 2020 congresses will be taking place at the Brighton Centre,” says Head of Marketing and Communications for the BSI, Melanie Lucas.

“Last summer we attended the Centre’s Ultimate Site Visit event and were impressed by the developments of the venue since its refurbishment. Thanks to the showcase, we were able to see how the Brighton Centre could be transformed in different ways, and understand how our event could fit within its walls.”

The BSI claims to be the largest immunology society in Europe and has members based around the world, with the majority working in the UK. With its objective to promote and support research, scholarship and ethical practice, the BSI’s annual congress is the flagship event that brings together leading immunology specialists.

“I am delighted by the BSI’s recent booking to hold its upcoming congresses here at the Brighton Centre,” says General Manager for the venue, Howard Barden.

“To have been chosen on three upcoming occasions is a tremendous achievement for the venue, and we are looking forward to welcoming the society and its members in 2014, 2017 and 2020.”
