Universal WorldEvents is expanding its Asian operations, including new staff for a beefed up operation in mainland China.
The company has made a number of appointments to its recently-opened Shanghai office, where Joyce Wang (pictured) has been appointed as Account Director.
Her role will be to grow the agency’s client base across China and to be responsible for the delivery of events across the Asia region.
Other appointments include Linda Lee, Project Manager, and an additional Project and Finance Executive, resulting in a total team of eight full-time event delivery staff in Asia.
Graham McIntosh, Global Managing Director, said the Asian market would become increasingly important in the years ahead.
“It is vital we are able to take advantage of the growing opportunity. We are thrilled at these new appointments, and believe the appointment of Joyce and additional operational staff in Shanghai will enhance our service offer to existing and new healthcare clients as it builds on the knowledge and experience of our present team in delivering high quality meeting and events in China,” McIntosh added.
Universal WorldEvents claims to be the largest full service global event management company specialising in serving the healthcare sector. Part of the Ashfield group, it has 275 employees located in offices across Europe, the US and Asia, and managed 1,700 meetings and events for over 145,000 attendees in 57 countries over the past 12 months.
