Contract caterer and in-house caterer for the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham, Amadeus, has picked up nine awards at the 2013 Wessex Salon Culinaire, one of the largest live culinary competitions in the UK.
At the 2013 Wessex Salon Culinaire Amadeus won awards in Display and Live Hot categories, picking up three silver, two bronze and four Merit awards.
The competition, which took place from 3-4 April, was split into four categories: Live Hot, Live Cold, Restaurant and Display, with scores of classes in each category for entrants to select, ranging from a British game main course in the Live Hot section, right through to napkin folding in the Display.
At last month’s MARCHE awards, which took place on 24 March at the ICC Birmingham, Amadeus won five awards including Chef of the year and Young Chef of the Year.
Amadeus has also been shortlisted alongside the NEC for the Best Conference Support Services Award ahead of June’s Conference Awards.
Amadeus operates at 19 events and venues including the NEC, the ICC, the LG Arena, the NIA, the Scottish Open, RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Coventry Transport Museum, Kenilworth Castle, Stoneleigh Abbey, Hagley Hall, and the National Sea Life Centre.
