Amadeus wins five-year Scottish Open contract worth £2.5m

Catering company, Amadeus, has won a five-year contract at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, which forms part of the European Tour.
The contract is worth £2.5m to Amadeus, who have been working on the event since 1999.
The Scottish Open contract means that Amadeus will operate all catering outlets for visitors and players during the four-day tournament, as well as providing all the corporate hospitality.
“We are proud the open has chosen Amadeus as their sole catering provider for the next five years,” Managing Director of Amadeus Kevin Watson said. “Our partnership with the organisers of the event has gone from strength-to-strength since we first worked on the event back in 1999, and we look forward to continuing to work with the European Tour to maximise the catering opportunities through our strategic insight of the industry.”
This year’s event will return to Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness for the third year from 11-14 July 2013. In 2014, Royal Aberdeen Golf Club will stage an event for the first time from 10-13 July over the Balgownie links.
Amadeus is the in-house catering team for the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham.
