Zibrant’s MD of Sales and Marketing Fay Sharpe has been invited to Downing Street to represent the UK’s events industry at the Women and Economic Growth reception.
The event, by invitation of Rt Hon George Osborne, will be hosted by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport on 13 March.
Global venue finding and events agency Zibrant has created a work culture that encourages success and entrepreneurialism, married with work life balance. The company was listed in the ‘The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2012’.
Zibrant’s staff comprises of 73 per cent women. Of its senior management team, 58 per cent are females, having worked their way up from entry level positions, and 44 per cent of Zibrant’s board directors are female, all of whom have returned to work after maternity leave.
Sharpe says: “It’s a great honor to have been invited to the Women and Economic Growth reception, as their work is vital for gender equality, which is something we strive to achieve at Zibrant.
“International Women’s Day, which took place recently, is the ideal opportunity to celebrate women in commerce, recognising the talent that we have.”
