The ICC Birmingham’s catering team scoops five awards

The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham’s in-house catering team Amadeus, picked up five awards at the MARCHE Awards for Excellence.

Over 1,000 of the region’s top chefs and restaurant owners gathered at the ICC Birmingham for the annual Midland’s Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hoteliers and Entertainment (MARCHE) Awards ceremony – the largest culinary ceremony outside London. 

It was a big night for the ICC and Amadeus with 12 of the team shortlisted for awards across five categories; Chef of the Year, Young Chef, Drinks Service, Food Service and Manager of Tomorrow.

On the night, Jessie Cichero was named ‘Chef of the Year’. Last year’s silver winner in the ‘Young Chef of the Year’ category, Gemma Field was this year’s Gold winner. Leon Churchill, Clayton James and John Davison rounded off the night, scooping the ‘Cook and Serve Team’ award.
