New dates for The Business Travel Conference

BMI Publishing, organiser of The Business Travel Conference (TBTC), has moved the October event to June.
TBTC will be held at the Novotel London West,Hammersmith, on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 June 2013.
“The decision to hold The Business Travel Conference in June this year has been hailed as a
resounding success and over half the exhibition space and half the VIP delegate places have already been booked for the event,” says Event Director Kirsty Hicks.
The conference and exhibition, of around 60 business travel suppliers, is aimed at people who have responsibility for booking, buying, arranging or handling business travel and meetings at companies both large and small. This includes everyone from PAs, secretaries, receptionists and travel administrators and coordinators, to office managers, event and meetings planners.

Over 100 buyers and arrangers of business travel and meetings have registered to attend under the event so far. Delegate numbers are limited to 200 to maintain an informal feel and give opportunities for one-to-one networking, according to the organiser.
Virgin Atlantic will be returning as main sponsor for the third year running, with HRS and Portman confirmed as Executive Sponsors.

Other exhibitors already confirmed for the event include: Emirates, Bridgestreet, Portman Travel, Click Travel, Gulf Air, First Capital Connect, Grange Hotels, Air Berlin, The Apartment Service, American Express, Flybe and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Stephen Hammond, Under Secretary of State for Transport, is to be the keynote speaker at the conference. Hammond will give key insights into current UK transport issues, including HS2 and the train franchising system, and explain how Britian fits into the bigger global economic picture and ongoing euro crisis.

Conservative MP for Wimbledon, Hammond is a serving minister in the current coalition government and will be able to lift the lid on the internal workings of government and advise how best the business travel industry can make itself heard through lobbying.
