Kent Event Centre reports rise in event bookings

The Kent Event Centre in Detling, near Maidstone, says bookings for events, conferences and exhibitions are up on the same time March 2012, with new events mixing with annual favourites.

While repeat bookings underpin the 2013 calendar at the Detling site, a number of new events are also being introduced, the centre’s management says.

“We will host over 60 public events this year, plus a range of conferences, training courses and meetings,” says Event Centre Manager, Alison Wallington. “While there continues to be pressure on budgets, organisers place a high priority on getting value for money and that’s where we score heavily. We can offer the flexibility to cater for a diverse range of functions, from large-scale Asian weddings to property auctions, from baby and toddler shows to Christmas parties.”

Kent Event Centre is easily accessible by road and rail and can offer free parking for 30,000 vehicles. The Centre has invested in new facilities, including the launch of the 1,700sqm Clive Emson Conference Centre. Other conference facilities at Kent Event Centre include the John Hendry Pavilion, the Astor Pavilion and the 3,000sqm Kent Pavilion.
