HBAA International Charter signed by NH Hoteles

International hotel group, NH Hoteles, is the latest company to sign up to the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) International Charter.
Following the launch at Barcelona-based meetings industry tradeshow EIBTM last year of its Meeting Moments concept, and to emphasise the importance of the meetings and events sector to the hotel group, the hotel group says it took the decision to sign up to the charter.
The charter is designed to enhance the volume and value of business placed by UK agents into overseas hotels through increased awareness and a mutually beneficial platform for doing business. It provides guidance for best practice covering everything from enquiry response times and commission levels to payment terms, while helping international hotels and venues to benefit from the buying power of the UK’s agencies, which exceeds £2.3bn per annum.
“We look forward to the opportunity this will give us to drive more business into our properties,” says Director of MICE Sales at NH Hoteles’ International Sales Office in the UK, Alan Jaramillo.
NH Hoteles operates close to 400 hotels with almost 60,000 rooms in 26 countries across Europe, America and Africa. NH Hoteles currently has 20 new hotels under construction, which will add 2,000 new rooms to its portfolio.
