Conference Torquay is rebranding to Conference English Riviera in an attempt to broaden its destination offering for conference organisers.
The English Riviera brand is increasingly promoted by the English Riviera Tourism Company (ERTC) and the Riviera International Conference Centre board have confirmed they are to replace the existing Conference Torquay branding with Conference English Riviera.
“We can see great benefits of working more closely with the English Riviera brand as it allows us to broaden our destination offering when we are talking to prospective conference organisers,” said Manager of Conference Torquay, Nicky Harding. “The new branding will help us package up all that the English Riviera has to offer as a great value coastal destination.”
Over the next 12 months, the conference team including Sarah James, PR and Marketing Coordinator, will be exhibiting at meeting industry events including International Confex in London and EIBTM in Barcelona, to promote the new Conference English Riviera brand.
Locally-based website companies Createnet and e-Strategy have been commissioned by the RICC board to work together on a complete overhaul of the existing Conference Torquay website.
“The conference market is competitive so we see further investment in digital marketing and professional search engine optimisation as essential if we are to continue to grow conference business for the bay,” said General Manager of the RICC, Simon Jolly.
Conference English Riviera will be officially launched on 21 March at the English Riviera and South Devon, Business, Leisure and Hospitality Exhibition and Conference and at International Confex in London.
