Central Hall Westminster’s Events Manager wins young persons award

London-based Central Hall Westminster’s Events Manager, Sophie Ross, has won the Emprise Young Persons Award by the Institute of Entertainment and Arts Management (IEAM).

The annual award ceremony sees young people under the age of 30 nominated by their managers for having gone that extra mile in the work they do. Candidates currently work in the live entertainment, events or performing arts management industries.

When asked why he had put Sophie’s name forward for an award, Stuart Ryding, Head of Events at Central Hall Westminster said: “Sophie has proven her professional expertise and commitment to customer service over and over during the past two years she has been working in my team.

“Last year, I gave her sole responsibility for Le Web, Europe’s largest tech Conference, and she mastered this international challenge extremely well. She has deserved to be recognised for her achievements.’’

Ross joined the venue in 2011.

Emprise Services sponsor the awards ceremony and George Imber & Sons sponsor a training bursary, which was won in 2012 by Kim Carrington, also from Central Hall Westminster.
