The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham has appointed Jo Ferreday (pictured) as its new Business Development Manager.
Ferreday started her new role in January and has over 16 years experience working in sales and business development environments, including roles at West Bromwich Albion Football Club, Pertemps and Qdos Consultancy.
Ferreday will report directly to Sales Director James Elston. “Jo’s wealth of experience in sales and business development is a great addition to the sales team. The relationship between our teams and the client are pivotal to the success of our business and it is thanks to this relationship clients such as the British Small Animal Veterinary Association and The Conservative Part Conference choose to return to our venue for their events,” says Elston.
Global event management company, Universal WorldEvents has, meanwhile, promoted Sarah Longland to the new role of Senior Account Manager, Training and Development.
The agency says the role has been created in recognition of the importance it puts upon training. Longland’s role is to coordinate and implement training and development throughout Universal WorldEvents to ensure a consistent approach to training across the agency’s global offices.
“This is a new role we have created that reflects our commitment to training our employees to a high standard,” says UK Managing Director, Denise Abbott. “As the company grows it is vital that we ensure a consistent approach to training. Sarah’s position will enable us to develop our staff and enhance the services we offer to our clients.”
