London City Selection celebrates third anniversary with new addition

London venue collective London City Selection (LCS) celebrated its third anniversary as 230 Bishopsgate becomes the latest venue to join the collection.

Officially launched on 24 February at International Confex 2010, LCS has grown its membership from 16 to 24. LCS says it continues to demand that all members comply with AIM accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) to ensure high quality service standards.

“We have grown significantly in a relatively short space of time, both in terms of members and also in terms of business generated via the collective,” says LCS Chair, Ed Bolling. “Our experiential weekend has become a highlight of the agency calendar and our interactive website which provides venue search facilities has generated major interest and opportunities for our venue members.”

New member 230 Bishopsgate, the home of Bishopsgate Institute, has event space including an original Victorian Boardroom suite, a recently renovated Great Hall and a historic library.

“After a successful two-year, £7.2m redevelopment project, 230 Bishopsgate now offers a modern venue catering for a range of events,” says Sales Manager at the venue, Fernando Santos.
