AECC partners with DB Event Networks

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has partnered with DB Event Networks who will provide Wi-Fi and event internet services for the venue.

DB Event Networks, a division of AV rental company DB Systems, will install a scalable hardwired and Wi-Fi network which will cover the entire venue, and will be extendable into the temporary structures which are used at the larger shows, such as Offshore Europe (1,800 exhibitors and 48,000 attendees) and All-Energy (580 exhibitors and 8,300 attendees).

As a specialist contractor with international event experience and ISO9001 systems in place, DB event networks will enable the AECC to offer a flexible and scalable package of internet solutions, as well as the customer service levels required by increasing demand from clients seeking higher levels of connectivity, as mobile device use grows rapidly.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director, says: “Increasing demands for internet connection, particularly Wi-Fi, at events is such a critical part of our business that we made the decision that an event specialist should be appointed to manage our Wi-Fi network. Event organisers demand a robust, flexible Wi-Fi system for their events at our centre.”
