The Sales Team from Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) comes to London next week to host the Centre’s annual ‘Meet.Eat.Greet’ client event at the Savoy Hotel.
AECC, along with partners Aberdeen City Council, VisitAberdeen and Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express, will welcome over 40 guests from the association, corporate, agency, promoters and media markets to give them a taste of the Granite City and surrounding shire as a destination for national and international conferences and events.
AECC Managing Director Brian Horsburgh says: “Aberdeen City and Shire is a vibrant and growing area and we are doing great things at the moment. By spreading the word in the UK’s capital we want to give key decision-makers the chance to get an insight into our wonderfully diverse region. We are fully committed to actively promoting Aberdeen and its excellent transport links to the wider UK market. To be able to bring in local partners further enhances the message that Aberdeen has a close and integrated team approach to offer organisers.”
The AECC recently confirmed that the Subsea UK conference would be held at the venue for the next three years. Last week’s 2013 edition attracted 3,700 pre-registered visitors and 140 exhibitors to its exhibition.
Conferences coming up at AECC include May’s DEVEX, the European Production and Development Conference for geologists and petroleum engineers, which is expected to attract 500 delegates. Other energy-related conference include All-Energy in May (8,500 visitors); Piper25 – Oil & Gas UK, a major offshore safety conference in June, which will mark the 25th anniversary of the Piper Alpha disaster (800 delegates) and Offshore Europe – a biennial conference and exhibition for upstream oil, gas and energy markets in September (45,000 visitors).
The AECC will also be at International Confex and IMEX Frankfurt this year.
