Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow invests £1m in technology

Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow is investing £1m to equip the hotel’s 43 conference and meeting rooms with the latest presentation and communication technology, along with new ergonomic interiors and lighting systems.

Technological improvements to be installed in Q1 include large plasma screens with blu ray, ceiling projection systems, split screens, new PA systems and daylight simulation lighting. The hotel also offers secure dedicated bandwidth, facilitating multi location international conferences, giving multinational companies the option for executives to be ’live’ at an event without the cost, in time and money, of leaving their office.

In addition to complimentary wireless connection throughout the hotel, 350 of the hotel’s Business Class and Deluxe bedrooms now feature desk spaces with wireless and wired internet access, a conference telephone system and a docking station for iPhone and iPad.

“Technology moves at a great pace in this field,” says General Manager, Paul Duggan. “We are one of the first hotels on the country to offer high bandwidth, allowing video conferencing and large data uploads.”

Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow recently completed a £10m refurbishment of rooms, restaurants and bars.
