International events and communications agency P&MM has launched its Clipper Challenge 2013, following on from a successful inaugural event in 2012.
Last year’s event, in September 2012, brought together many well known names across all areas of global events, communications and the hospitality business to sail some 68-foot Clipper Events ocean-going racing yachts.
Eight yachts will be used again this year, 4-5 June, with teams lined up both to sponsor and sail them.
Last year’s gathering was based at Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, with an evening of networking and business presentations followed by a day of competitive racing.
P&MM’s Director of Events and Communications, Chris Clarke, said: “In 2012 we delivered a thought-provoking, engaging event under the theme of ‘Fit for Business’. It provided a superb opportunity to network, forge new contacts and share best practice as well as participate in an inspiring, outdoor, healthy and cost-effective activity.
“We are launching the 2013 event where participants can share ideas, discuss common issues and challenge themselves both mentally and physically. While we have confirmed a good number of last year’s teams to take part again, we have new co-hosts participating this year, with a new venue being booked for the much larger evening business networking session.”
