Cheshire hotel and conference venue, Peckforton Castle has been awarded a 3rd AA Rosette for culinary excellence.
Success or failure in achieving AA Rosettes is based on one or more visits by an AA inspector to a hotel or restaurant.
Peckforton Castle’s 1851 Restaurant joins an elite 10 per cent of nationwide restaurants that have gained three Rosettes.
The Rosettes are awarded for a restaurant’s selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients.
Peckforton Castle MD Chris Naylor says his team has been working towards the standard for two years.
“It is a testament to the creativity of our Head Chef Mark Ellis and our 1851 Restaurant team. We pride ourselves in our love of Cheshire produce and use some of the best the county offers,” Naylor says.
Peckforton Castle was recently awarded ‘Hotel of the Year’ 2012 by Marketing Cheshire. The castle suffered an arson attack in the early hours of the 19 June 2011 which damaged 25 per cent of the venue. Since then £2.3m has been spent on restoration.
