Event business management firm Grandstand has added the management of premier exhibition and conference venue Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire to its portfolio.
The Hertfordshire-based firm currently runs the Horse of the Year show at The NEC, and will now oversee around 360 annual events at Stoneleigh Park.
Grandstand – Stoneleigh Events will now be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue, working alongside the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) and the venue’s leaseholder, LaSalle Investment Management.
Originally known as the National Agricultural Centre and owned by the Royal Agricultural Society of England, Stoneleigh Park quickly established itself as a hub for agricultural events. The famous Royal Show first took place at the venue in 1963 and continued its reign there for the duration of its 46-year life span.
Stoneleigh Park was established as the organisation’s commercial arm in the mid-1990s and with the building of its first exhibition hall in 1993, and then a second in 2000, it offered an increasingly diverse portfolio of events.
There is 21,000sqm of indoor space, including two interlinking exhibition halls. Hall 2 has a capacity of 2,000 conference delegates and nine additional meeting spaces can cater from 50 to 700 delegates. Free car parking is available for more than 30,000 vehicles.
Events taking place at the venue have included everything from Scootfest, the world’s first scooter festival, and The Edible Garden Show, to Your Horse Live and the Landlord and Letting Show.
